About Victory Cruise

Belonging to the renowned Bai Tho Junk fleet, Victory Cruise remains one of the most attractive budget options in Halong Bay as of 2025. Launched in 2007 and renovated in late 2019, Victory Cruise maintains the classic design of traditional Vietnamese junks while offering modern facilities that ensure high safety and comfort levels. The cruise offers both 1 and 2-night programs alongside a diverse selection of Vietnamese and international cuisine.

Pros

+ The vessel is well-maintained and the interiors are consistently clean.

+ Food is aesthetically presented with numerous options available.

+ The staff service is exceptional, marked by attentiveness and friendliness.

Cons

- Excursions during the 1-night trip can be overcrowded, leading to delays for the entire group. However, Day 2 of the 2-night itinerary tends to be more enjoyable.

Bottom Line

Victory Cruise honors traditional values while integrating modern amenities and services to provide a comfortable and memorable cruising experience.

Itinerary & Activities

The adventure with Victory Cruise allows travelers to explore the prime attractions of Halong Bay. Highlights include Luon Cave with kayaking or rowing boat trips, Titop Island with its sandy beach and stunning panoramic views from its summit, and Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave—home to ancient stalactites and stalagmites.

The 2-night itinerary also introduces visitors to less frequented spots such as Trong (Drum) Cave, Trinh Nu (Virgin) Beach, and a local pearl farm. Guests can choose between an active vacation full of activities or simply relaxing while enjoying the scenery from the boat and sunbathing on a comfortable deck chair.

Cruise Quality

Constructed using Aromas wood, the ship evokes a nostalgic atmosphere during the cruise experience. Safety equipment is available in every cabin and public area, complemented by a well-trained crew dedicated to ensuring a safe and carefree holiday. Recent upgrades not only enhance the ship's appearance but also improve the overall quality of the experience for visitors.

Cabin Quality

Victory Cruise features 21 Deluxe cabins situated on both the main and upper decks. Ranging in size from 16 to 18 sqm, the cabins vary in type to accommodate between 1 and 4 passengers. Each cabin includes a full-length glass window offering views of the bay, along with amenities such as air conditioning, comfortable bedding with soft pillows, ensuite bathrooms fitted with towels, rain showers, hairdryers, and essential toiletries.

Service & Facilities

Guests can enjoy modern facilities and services at an affordable rate on Victory Cruise. A welcoming team is available 24 hours a day to assist visitors. Guests can relish in both local and international cuisine at a cozy restaurant with bay views while sipping fine wines from the bar. A pre-dinner cocktail party provides the perfect opportunity to unwind as the sun sets. In the evening, enjoying drinks on the top deck with friends and family or trying one's luck at squid fishing from the rear of the ship is a uniquely memorable experience.

Food & Drink

Dining aboard the Victory Cruise is a delightful experience, featuring a combination of local and international offerings in an intimate setting against the backdrop of magnificent limestone islands. The bar serves a broad array of beverages, including wines, spirits, cocktails, mocktails, as well as fresh juices and soft drinks.

Highly recommended

A fun-filled experience! We had 2 nights on Halong Bay. Although there were too many tourists and boats around, the view of the bay was one of a kind. The day tour on the second day was much less crowded with kayaking and swimming activities. The crew members were all kind and polite. The manager was attentive and willing to help us at any time. Food was beautifully presented and of good quality. Surely recommend Victory Cruise!

The staff really made our stay. They are friendly and courteous. The rooms were compact yet clean. The food was amazing but the cocktail was just average. We visited a giant cave with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. The Titop beach was super crowded and the steps to the top of the mountain were sometimes uneven and steep. We tried kayaking the first time and the staff was helpful to show us. Thank you.

Highly recommended

The cabin was nice with a large glass window. We had a neat and well-equipped room with an air-con, a private bathroom with bathrobes, towels, and toiletries,... Everything was alright and enjoyable except for the pollution issue. There was quite a lot of litter on the bay. We hope this will be handled soon.

The boat is old-style. There are not many modern facilities but your basic needs of food, beverage, accommodation, entertainment, and relaxation were fulfilled. Our cabin was small with a wooden floor and furniture. The bathroom has enough amenities and a standing shower. Food was good. There were only 2 bottles of water included and no more. Drinks were expensive.

Pros: Friendly staff, tasty food, incredible landscape. Cons: Tight schedule with many continuous activities, crowded excursions. Overall Halong Bay was a well worth visit and we rate this trip 7.5 out of 10.
