A Guide To Ba Trai Dao Beach
Translated into English ‘Ba Trai Dao’ means ‘Three Peaches’; the beaches on Ba Trai Dao islet are certainly a sight for sore eyes.
Located about 14 miles (23 kilometers) from Bai Chay Tourist Wharf, the beach is crescent shaped. Visiting the beach must be carefully planned as it’s only accessible for 3 hours a day maximum due to the tides.
The islet on which the beaches are situated consist of 3 small hills. Legend has it that a fairy and a fisherman fell in love. In order for their love to be eternal, the fairy stole 3 peaches from the heavens. As punishment for this act of defiance, God turned the peaches to stone.
Today the beach breaths a romantic atmosphere and is a popular attraction amongst both local and international tourists.
